Review
BeLight is an excellent audio file conversion utility, featuring a high quality conversion and support for a lot of formats and features. To achieve its task, it uses BeSweet, a popular freeware conversor. In fact, BeLight could be concealed as a front-end for BeSweet. Maybe that's why before to use the program for the first time, you must specify the path to the BeSweet executable, as well as other optional utilities like BeSplit.
Formats supported are MP3 VBR, OGG Vorbis, AC3, WAV, and many others.
A great feature of BeLight is the ability to join the audio channels in one file (ex. to convert from AC3 to MP3).
You can add several files to the list in order to perform a batch processing, specifying different conversion options for each file. What is more, you can access the "BeSweet command line" option, copy the resulting command and run it from the classic Windows Command Line. They tent to be quite long!
The user interface is well-designed with colorful icons which helps to quickly find the option you need. |
- Freeware. Fast conversion. All codecs used are freeware.
|
- Needs a lot of external dependencies.
- You must check manually the log file if there were errors.
